Positions may be filled on a Career Conditional Term, or Temporary appointment basis as needed. Work schedules may be Seasonal, Intermittent, Full Time or Part Time. The majority of appointments will be Term. A Term appointment is a non-status, non-permanent appointment to a position in the competitive service, which is expected to last more than 1 year, but not to exceed 2 years. Positions may be extended by 1 year increments up to 4 years.

Testing will begin in October for Clerk, Data Transcribers, and Tax Examiners. Walk-in test schedules are listed in local newspapers. Hiring begins in late fall/early winter, and concludes in April.
