Shannon Senior Revenue Agent We're going out there, not knowing anything, and as a whole, looking at, you know, a listing of not only what's in the books and records, talking to people, but also what is on site, possibly, and kind of putting it all together to see if it all makes sense. It is very surprising and fun, almost exciting, when you do kind of find some things that are not... where, what they're supposed to be. So there is no typical work day. That's why -- that's one thing about the revenue agent position that's so wonderful, is that, you know, there's many different things that you can be doing, and that's why it does, it's, it's kept very exciting, because you're not doing the same thing every day. I think the best person for the revenue agent job definitely has to be a people person, number one. You have to be good with numbers, and that kind of goes without saying, you know, us as revenue agents are your typical accountants, so you do have to have that accounting background and, you know, being comfortable with working, looking at books and records, looking at numbers. But it's not a typical math job. I've taken advantage of the benefits that IRS has to offer me with, you know, maternity leave. I've had paid leave each time. I've gone out on maternity leave, which has been an absolute wonderful thing. The things that you cannot get from the outside -- our health insurance benefits are top-notch. Our pension plan benefits are, you know, we have a very good matching program. Our sick leave and annual leave policies are, you know, fabulous. Coming fresh out of college, it's a great way to come into the door. Financial stability, along with all the other benefit packages that come along with it, as being a young student or also being a mid-career person. You know, we have a lot of job opportunities to offer all levels.
