Sy-Miau LMSB Revenue Agent, Financial Products and Transactions Examiner For my position, there is no typical day at work. Anything -- can range from status meeting, which is meeting with the taxpayer to discuss where we're at at examination; meeting with the teams to strategize our course of action in the audit; or just doing your own research; talk to technical adviser about your issue; talk to counsel about your issue. I am dealing as a team. I'm working in a team environment. When I'm going through my master's degree, and I took the taxation as my major, and I thought that -- why do I look anywhere else? I attempted to put in for the private industry, but it's just not as attractive. Because what I have learned -- all the tax -- the best way that you can use that skill is working for Internal Revenue Service. The best part of the work is work on an issue that is innovative, that's created from outside and it's been structured just for the purpose of tax avoidance. And I call myself "Financial Columbo." I ask questions -- why, how, and when did you do it? And what did you do it? And how these transactions with multi-parties that came across into one room, and with these stash of agreements that came about? Why is it necessary for me to give you the benefits that you are seeking? Well, I can kind of illustrates the MasterCard's advertisement commercial. "Time spent with your family is priceless."
