The IRS hosts numerous virtual and in-person events each month. These information sessions and job fairs provide you with insights about some of the most interesting positions we offer. This page is updated periodically, so if you do not see an event/position that interests you, please check back. In-Person Hiring Events

IRS is hiring Clerk and Tax Examiner Positions for the Kansas City, MO; Austin, TX; and Ogden, UT Service Centers

Clerks and Tax Examiners perform a variety of administrative tasks and duties associated with tax administration. During these in-person hiring events, we will be reviewing resumes and qualifying applicants on-the-spot. These positions do not require you to have any prior tax experience, as we provide comprehensive training to new hires. These positions are not telework-eligible and would require you to work at the service center. Please review complete details by following the register links below for the location that interests you. IRS Job Fair for Veterans, Military Spouses, and Individuals with Disabilities (Schedule A) in Nashville, TN

The IRS is looking to fill customer service, customer service management, and support positions in Nashville, TN. If you are in the Nashville area, come join us to discuss unique career opportunities available to those eligible for one of the excepted/non-competitive hiring appointments: VRA, 30% or more Disabled, Military Spouses, and Schedule A. Hiring Managers and HR Specialists will be on-site to conduct interviews, answer questions, review/accept resumes for the potential to be qualified and given a tentative job offer on the spot.       IRS Virtual Information Session Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

      The IRS is committed to cultivating a diverse workforce by strengthening its ability to recruit, hire, develop, promote, and retain our nation’s talent and remove barriers to equal opportunity employment. During this virtual information session, we will discuss the historical importance of Hispanic Heritage Month, discuss IRS career opportunities, and share resources to assist you with your job search. You will learn about IRS benefits, effective resume writing, and the application process. You will also hear from employees about their personal experiences working for the Service. All are welcome!       IRS Virtual Information Session - Disability Employment Awareness Month 

      At the IRS, we believe in the abilities of all our employees, and we’re committed to hiring qualified individuals at all levels of our organization. Our goal, as an employer of individuals with disabilities, is to be a model within the federal government and for companies in the private sector. During this information session, we will provide an overview of IRS benefits, the Schedule A hiring program and documentation requirements, how to apply for positions with the IRS, and provide tips for creating an effective resume.       IRS Virtual Information Session – Career Opportunities for Veterans and Military Spouses

      As part of the IRS workforce, your efforts will help make America stronger as we continue to support the nation’s most vital programs, from Homeland Security to America’s defense, to Social Security — as well as programs and projects that are a bit closer to home, like parklands and forests, roads and bridges, libraries, museums, schools, and more. During this information session, we will provide an overview of IRS benefits, Veteran preferences, direct hire authority for Veterans and Military Spouses, documentation requirements, how to apply for positions with the IRS, and provide tips for creating an effective resume. We will also discuss some of the positions currently being offered by the IRS.
