Disclosure Enforcement Specialist – Job Series 1801
Disclosure Enforcement Specialists verify and ensure federal tax information entrusted to our nearly 300 federal, state, and local partners is protected and used appropriately. You’ll conduct onsite reviews to identify physical and computer security control weaknesses and then monitor compliance through corrective action plans. You’ll also ensure disclosure restrictions are adhered to by agencies and manage external data incidents.
Disclosure Specialist – Job Series 0306
Disclosure Specialists are the gatekeepers to taxpayer data. You’ll make determinations on what the IRS should and shouldn’t disclose. You’ll be responsible for processing Freedom of Information Act requests, disclosures under the privacy act, ex-parte court orders, and subpoenas for the IRS. You will also promote the protection of sensitive information by delivering awareness programs to IRS employees and external partners.
